AD Quickbite - How To Tie A Maggot Zig Rig - Carp Fishing

In this AD Quickbite video we show you exactly how to tie a maggot zig rig, using the Fox Zig Aligna kits. The addition of maggots on your zig rig can significantly increase your catch rate, especially in the colder months.

 

Step 1

Trim off your required length of zig line, then attach your hook as show.

 

Step 2

Thread on your zig aligna, then secure over the eye of your hook.

 

Step 3

Thread your anti tangle sleeve onto your hook link, then tie a figure of eight loop.

 

Step 4

Insert your favourite colour zig foam into the zig aligna.

 

Step 5

Using your baiting needle thread a short length of bait floss under the zig aligna.

 

Step 6

Thread 3-4 maggots onto the bait floss.

 

Step 7

Secure the maggots in place with two simple over hand knots, then trim off the tag ends.
