The Advanta Dead bait rods have been specifically designed with Pike and predator fishing in mind and particularly dead bait fishing. The Advanta dead bait rods are a through action design meaning they have a softer feel to that of a 3lb test curve carp rod with a fast action. The through action has many advantages when dead bait fishing for predator such as being able to load the rod on the cast and not tear hooks out of soft baits. The softer action also helps to reduce hook pulls from fish such as Pike and zander when they can be lightly hooked. The Advanta dead bait rods feature a carbon blank with super light guides and ceramic tip rig, they also feature a full cork handle and screw lock reel seat. There are 2 rods in the range to cover all types of species and venues, a 12ft rod for larger rivers, lakes, and fish and a smaller 9ft 6” version for smaller venues or when fishing from a boat.
