Description

Cox & Rawle Aberdeen Match Hook,

Cox & Rawle's Aberdeen Match hooks take the classic aberdeen profile, and construct it from light wire, making it ideal for more delicate presentations. Strong hooks sporting a round bend and micro barb.

Round bend hooks excel in the codling, flatfish, Ray & Bass fishing seasons. Light wire hooks baited with worms avoid excessive puncturing and allow more bait juice to reach the fish.

The perfect Aberdeen hook pattern has a slightly squared round bend. The extra width between the shank and the hook point allows the point to stand away from the bulk of the bait, ensuring a strong connection between the point of your hook, and a potential catch.

Some Aberdeens are made to flex - slow curing - before breaking but now manufacturers prefer to quench the metal for speed of manufacture.
