For countless years the Magnum Taper has been the rod profile to mimic but when designing a brand new Basia rod Daiwa and Danny knew that they couldn’t simply resort to copying tried and tested success – they had to better it! This rod blank is completely unique. Built around a high modulus low resin core, it is the Bias Carbon outer layers that really set a new benchmark in rod blank design. Bias ensures that this rod has a significantly higher resistance to torque than any other on the market and it contributes to the straight-line action and speedy recovery of the rod on each cast. The marriage of Bias Carbon outer and high modulus low resin carbon fibre inner ensures that this rod is able to comfortably harness additional potential energy which, when released through the cast, gives you high powered action for extreme carping.

Daiwa Basia rods are fitted with 50mm butt guides and a profiled NS handle. This rod benefits from the same custom furnishings that you will have grown to demand from a Daiwa rod.
