These Exceler reels offer everything you could want from a reel range to suit your general coarse fishing needs. Available in four sizes they cover all the bases of coarse and match fishing. The smallest 2500 reel is ideal for all your light floater work. There is also a shallow spool version, the 2506, which has been designed with braid work in mind. This shallow spool offers an impressive 6:1 retrieve, too. The largest of the Exceler reels, the 4000, has been designed with general match and coarse work in mind, and the reel is ideal when barbel fishing on a river or fishing in a match using feeder techniques.

All four of the models in the range offer the same fantastic technologies. A precision moulded aluminium body ensures that this reel is lightweight and incredibly durable. The Exceler is fitted with an Air Rotor, Daiwa’s patented rotor system that is 15% lighter than other similar sized rotors. This not only reduces vibration in the reel but also spreads the pressure on the rotor. This ensures that the pressure on the delicate arms of the rotor is evenly distributed, reducing the risk of premature wear and tear. Air Bail is a similarly designed bail system. This offers lightweight protrusion free transmission of the line from the bail arm to the line roller and removes the risk of snagging – even with loose line when slack line fishing. TwistBuster is present on the line roller, ensuring that you’re not at risk from twisting even when you’re using a braid or a thin mono. The Exceler is also fitted with Infinite Anti-Reverse to ensure positive hooksets every time, as well as Digigear II which ensures that the reel has the cranking power to enable you to confidently land fish time after time.
