Daiwa Infinity MT X45 Spod & Marker Rod is a specialist, high-performance spod rod designed for Carp anglers who need maximum power and precision when baiting up or feature finding at long range. Built specifically for spodding and marker work, it’s aimed at fishing larger venues where accurate bait placement and detailed lakebed mapping are essential.
At the core of the design is Daiwa’s advanced X45 bias carbon construction combined with HVF (High Volume Fibre) technology and a Magnum Taper blank profile. This setup minimises blank twist and allows the rod to compress efficiently under load, helping generate maximum casting distance while maintaining accuracy. In testing, rods within this range have achieved noticeable improvements in casting distance without sacrificing control.
Unlike standard carp rods, this model is tuned specifically for the demands of spodding and marker work. Heavier test curve options, typically around 4.25lb for marker work and 4.5lb for spodding, provide the power required to repeatedly cast fully loaded spods or large marker floats over long distances. This ensures you can bait accurately at range and maintain consistency over repeated casts.
The rod is designed to offer high levels of casting compression and fast recovery, which is essential when repeatedly under heavy load. This reduces fatigue over long baiting sessions and improves efficiency.
