A fantastic match reel, the Team Daiwa TD-R Double Handle offers all the same great technological features of the original, this time in a double handle option. These features include the likes of Hardbodyz – Daiwa’s aluminium alloy body construction that is significantly harder wearing and more durable than any other aluminium alloy body options currently available. The reel boats Air Rotor – Daiwa’s lightest and most robust rotor system to date. This system spreads the pressure the rotor undergoes evenly across the rotor – ensuring there are no dangerous concentrations of pressure at the base of the rotor arms. The reel operates on Digigear, a digital gearing system which is considerably more precise than any standard machined system. This ensures a perfect mesh in the gearing, allowing you to maximise power, and it eliminates the friction wear and tear that occurs with mismatched gearing.

The spool on the reel is constructed on Daiwa’s ABS anti-backlash concept, ensuring it casts like a dream each time. It is fitted with one of the revolutionary High Impact Line Clips. Sprung loaded, this clip allows you to fish with accuracy no matter what line type you use, in full confidence that you are not going to cause any damage to your monofilament or braided line. The reel also comes with a spare aluminium spool as standard.

Twistbuster II eliminates line twist on the roller and Air Bail ensures that line is delivered to the rotor without snagging. The whole system has been Mag Sealed – a magnetic oil waterproofing system which ensures that the reel is not subject to grit or salt wear – and is backup with five corrosion resistant ball bearings, as well as one roller bearing.
