These waggler floats are best used with very little shot down the line and fished with the depth set off the bottom. Dave Harrell recommends using a simple shotting pattern as the float with most of the shot around the base of the float with only a few no.8 or no.10 shot equally spaced down the line and the bottom shot no more than 8-10 inches from the hook.
