The Dave Harrell No.3 Heavy Base Stick Float features a totally unique design, with this float pattern featuring a dome top and a heavy 2mm aluminium stem but with a much slimmer body profile, which gives these stick floats significantly more weight than any previous design. This makes these stick floats easy to use for distance casting and gives the angler much better control when fishing pacy fast flowing water. Especially good when fishing in a downstream wind as the float ‘sits in’ and the line can easily be mended against them, making for better bait presentation. The go to float pattern when you need more visibility and is ideal for running long distances down fast flowing swims. Field tested extensively on rivers like the Trent and Severn. Ideal for fishing with a variety of baits including maggots, casters and hemp.

The body construction of these floats also makes them incredibly strong and durable, so you can have full confidence when fishing near snags or for bigger powerful fish. Dave Harrell recommends fishing these stick floats with strung out shotting patterns using no.8 and no.6 shot spread around 1ft below the float right the way down to within 10 inches from the hook.
