Drennan Acolyte Ultra 15ft Float Fishing Rod,
These new, eagerly anticipated float rods from Drennan are exceptionally light and slim. The 13ft high modulus carbon rod weighs just 4.75oz whilst the 14ft version is not a lot heavier at 5.5oz. Both rods are beautifully balanced and likely to find their way into many anglers' hands this season.
Both rods have been designed to be used with reel lines of 2.5lb to 4lb (or more) and have fast, crisp actions that are still capable of being used with hook lengths of 1lb or less.
The 15ft Acolyte Ultra has that all-important extra length, so vital for improved line and float control. It is particularly suitable for river fishing, as the crisp tip section offers supreme line control with stick floats, wagglers and bolo floats. The extra length of this threepiece rod is also a great asset when tackling deeper swims. Despite being 15ft, the super slim and featherweight blank still only weighs approximately 5 3/4oz (163g), which makes it lighter and better balanced than many manufacturers 13ft models! It is perfectly complimented with reel lines from 3lb to 5lb (1.4kg to 2.3kg) and hooklengths from 4lb (0.15mm) right down to 1.5lb (0.09mm).
