Drennan Series 7 Specialist Avon/Quiver Combo 1.25LB, Available in either 1.25lb or 1.50lb test curve, the Specialist Avon/Quiver Combo has two entirely separate top joint systems, making it an extremely versatile rod. The softer action 1.25lb model can be fished Avon Style with its standard top joint making it ideal for distance feeder work for large Roach & Rudd, or fishing small live baits or lobworms for Perch yet still having plenty of power to tackle hard fighting Chub. With the quiver top joint in place, it works extremely well on the rivers for feeders or bomb work when improved bite detection is required. At 1.25lb, with a nice progressive through action, it is light and delicate enough to show bites well and is not over-gunned when playing finicky fish such as quality roach even on small hooks and relatively tight lines. At the same time it does have just enough backbone so you can lean into fish and remain in control. This model comes with two slow taper, push in tips of 2oz and 3oz glass, all painted luminous white so you can still spot bites well into dusk. Of course, as with all other Drennan Feeder rods, you can purchase extra tips from the full range of Feeder tips. The blank construction of two, equal length sections allows the rod to be made up and stored in a large Super Specialist rod sleeve and also attached to the large sized Super Specialist rod quiver.
