Drennan Specialist Barbel Rod, Drennan Specialist Barbel Rods offer superb balance and playing action for specialist Barbel anglers. Featuring 12ft two piece blanks manufactured from high modulus carbon fibre, fitted out with quality Fuji SiC guides and a secure 18mm DPS real seat. They're available in two test curve options, a 1.75lb ideal for general use and handling feeders of up to 4oz. Plus a stepped up 2.25lb edition ideal for bigger rivers and faster flows handling weights of up to 6oz.

The Drennan Specialist Barbel Rod range has been designed to offer superb balance and playing action for specialist Barbel anglers. Designed to cover all possible situations you may fish when fishing rivers for Barbel, whether it be small snaggy rivers or big powerful flowing rivers. These barbel rods have been extensively tested on a wide range of rivers and have they have stood up to the test of even the most powerful of barbel with ease.

Built around a two-piece high modulus carbon blank, these barbel rods have an excellent action which is superbly balanced. These barbel rods feel light in the hand, but have an immense of power in the butt section of the rod which is ideal when you are fighting powerful barbel or when you need to stop fish from getting to snags. Featuring full SIC guides, so your fishing line whether it is mono fishing line or braided line will flow freely through your rod rings on the cast. A great addition to these barbel rods is a Hi-Vis white tip which is great for anglers who like to fish in the evening and into the night. A secure DPS reel seat has been used on these barbel rods which allows you to use a wide range of barbel reels with these rods whether it be small freespool reels or mini big pits. Drennan have finished these specialist barbel rods with a full cork handle, which gives them a really nice and smart finish.

Available in two sizes, the 1.75lb T.C barbel rods are the perfect all rounder and can be used on all manners of rivers with leads and feeders up to 4oz and lines of anything from 8 to 12lb. The 2.25lb T.C barbel rods are ideal for targeting bigger more powerful rivers where you need heavier leads and the ability to cast further. The 2.25lb barbel rods are capable of casting weights in excess of 7oz and are perfectly suited for lines from 12lb to 15lb. The blanks of these barbel rods are finished with the trademark Drennan Specialist olive green. Designed for anglers targeting specimen fish, the Drennan Specialist Barbel Rod range is the perfect addition to your specialist fishing tackle
