Fox Horizon X Rod
If you were a fan of the original Horizon rod series from Fox then you’ll love this new and improved model. The Fox Horizon X features a whole bundle of brand new features that sets them head and shoulders above the original Horizon rods. The first of these features is carbon wrapping on the rod blank. 2k diagonal wrap on the butt section and 1k diagonal wrap on the tip – across the range – ensures that the Horizon X rods are significantly stronger than the original rods. What’s more, this weave on the butt section allows you to punch a lead out significantly harder, whilst the weave on the tip enables a faster recovery rate. This ensures that you’re able to cast significantly increased distances and you’ll wonder how you ever used to cope before you were able to achieve those few extra yards. If this wasn’t enough improvement, technological advances also means that the blanks of the Fox Horizon X are significantly lighter than previous models too. As you might expect, this improves the performance across the range as well as making the rods more comfortable to manoeuvre.
It isn’t just the technology that has improved from the original rod series. The Horizon X boasts brand new cosmetics, too. Black fixing hoods, Fuji 18mm reel seats, and black Fox Slik Anti-Tangle Guides all give the rod an understated and modern look and feel. There are three different handle options on the rods across the range, allowing you to pick the perfect setup for your angling style. It’s your choice between an ergonomic Duplon handle, a skinny take on the traditional cork handle, or an abbreviated handle. With rods of 12ft (and one 10ft option) offering test curves between 2.25lb and 3.5lb, these rods are ideal for a range of carp fishing activities.
