Fox Torque Rod
If you’ve been a fan of Fox’s rods for a number of years then you’ll know just how hotly the Torque range has been anticipated. This is a range of carp rods that has been designed to bridge the gap between the entry-level, highly successful Warrior S series and the top-of-the-range Horizon series. It does so very successfully, bringing together affordability and high quality in order to create an excellent rod for the avid carp angler. There are a number of rods in the range, each of which have been designed with specific purposes in mind.
There are two 12ft abbreviated rods in the range. These offer test curves of 3lb and 3.5lb respectively and are designed for fighting big carp – even at distance. There is also a full duplon version of the 3.5lb for the angler who prefers the more classic handle design. These rods are all perfect for all-round carp fishing on the biggest and most challenging waters that the UK has to offer. For the angler who likes to have all their rods perfectly matching Fox has produced both spod and marker rods in the Torque range. The marker rod is 12ft in length and offers an impressive test curve of 45lb. This ensures that it can cast out your marker float to the same impressive distances as your hook bait, ensuring that you enjoy consistently accurate angling. The spod rod in the range has a remarkable 5.5lb test curve, enabling it to cast out even the heaviest weighted spods to impressive distances.
All of the rods in the Fox Torque range have been manufactured from high quality carbon, which ensures their light weight and durability. The rods are all fitted with a Fuji 18mm reel seat and Fox Slik guides, beginning with a 50mm butt ring as standard. All of the fittings on the rods are black, to match the blank and the handle, and this rod series boasts the kind of understated cosmetics that are sure to make it exceptionally popular with the modern carp angler.
