Free Spirit 12FT 3.5LBS Pike Tamer Big Bait Rod,
The Big Bait is the tool for hurling big frozen mackerel to the horizon but is still progressive enough to withstand the use of soft skin baits.
There are two 10ft boat versions: a standard rod with a test of 2lb, good for the majority of boat piking and an S.U. for heavy boat work such as on the Thurne where heavy flows and tidal pulls are common. Both feature sensitive tips for bottom bouncing and power in the middle to butt to help subdue big fish. They can also be put to good use casting big spoons and plugs.
