Hardy Conquest Centrepin Reel
Hardy is one of the UK’s oldest tackle manufactures. This Conquest reel represents the brand’s return to centrepin production, and what a return it is! Available in 4.5 inches in the silver colour or 4 inches in the silver and the black, this is a stunning reel which would sit nicely on any river rod. Constructed from bar stock 6061 aerospace grade aluminium, this reel is both incredibly lightweight and hard wearing.
Fitted with three handles, this reel has a gyroscopic effect for extended free spinning, making the Hardy Conquest Centrepin a river angler’s free running dream. If you find the handles interrupt your fishing when you get a big catch, you are able to completely remove them are replace them with counter weights to achieve the same smooth free spinning effect. These handles can also be adjusted for right or left handed wind. This means that this reel is completely ambidextrous.
The perforation in the body of the reel has been precision designed – ensuring the reel is lightweight and perfectly balanced. This ensures that the reel feels almost weightless on any float rod setup and has been specially designed to be the perfect companion for the Marksmen rod range.
The Hardy Conquest Centrepin is capable of controlling every river situation, from running floats down a slow moving river to tackling fast flowing giants when the water level is high. However, this doesn’t mean that this reel would look out of place on a still water venue, though. The Hardy Conquest Centrepin is ideal for handling tench, bream, and even small carp.
Easy to maintain and a dream to use, the Hardy Conquest Centrepin is a welcome return to centrepin production for the House of Hardy brand as well as being a welcome edition to any coarse fishing tackle collection.
