If you’re an angler who regularly hunts for barbel in flooded water, or your local swim is full of snags, then you’ll love a specialist rodsuch as this HarrisonChimera. Harrison is famous for manufacturing rods that offer unparalleled performance, no matter what discipline they are designed for, and this specialist barbel tool is no different. Coming in at 11ft 6 inches this is a state of the art barbel fighting machine. The Harrison Chimera Barbel Flood and Snag Rod is based on the design of the famous Harrison Interceptor. However, what sets this rod apart from the rest is its 3K fabric finish on the butt section of the rod. This gives it the kind of backbone support that you require when you’re wrestling with a hard fighting barbel, trying to avoid entering the snag.
This isn’t the only carbon weave work on the rod and the tip section is also finished with 1k carbon too. This rib-cage construction ensures that this rod has all the strength it requires whilst not adding any unnecessary weight or rigidity that would otherwise effect the action of the rod. The blank itself is constructed from a blend of carbon fibres to ensure it provides the kind of action and offers the sort of durability that you demand from a top end Harrison performance rod. These fibres include a mix of high and intermediate modulus UD carbon, ultra-light carbon scrim, and an epoxy matrix fibre.
As with all Harrison rods, the Harrison Chimera Barbel Flood and Snag rod is manufactured with bespoke standard logos and branding, and it offers stunning matt-look cosmetics to ensure that it looks as great as it does today in a decade’s time. A Fuji DPS reel seat ensures that your reelis held in the perfect position to get the most from your rod and it will house a large variety of reels, too. Kigan 3D guides ensure that your linecan move freely and without friction along the length of your rod and the rod is finished with a slim cork and EVA mix handle.
