At 42”, the JRC Defender Landing Net is big enough to handle almost any fish you’re likely to encounter in UK waters, including the bigger carp that are cruising around out there, while its heavy duty spreader block takes the strain of a big fish, giving you complete trust in your net as you bring the fish in to the bank, and lift it clear.  The strong, rigid carbon composite construction ensures that your net handle won’t bend under the weight of even the largest fish you’re likely to find in the UK, which not only enables you to remain perfectly calm as you’re bringing your catch up and out, but also ensures your landing net will last, and perform well, for years to come.

The medium depth black mesh contrasts well against the bodies of most fish, so you can easily see where your net ends and your fish begins when you’re lifting the fish out to weigh in, and for photographs, even at night, by torch light. The mesh is fish friendly, with the latest fish safety measures applied throughout, ensuring that even a lively fish, furious at falling for the trick of your hookbait, won’t do itself any damage in the net.
