The rig is constructed using 25lb Boom and 25lb Slip D Braid, giving it a blend of stiffness and flexibility. The Boom section helps create separation from the lead system, while the braided section allows the hookbait to move more naturally, making the rig suitable for modern carp fishing presentations where both mechanics and subtlety matter.

This version uses Korda’s Wide Gape X hook in a barbed format. The Wide Gape X is described as the hook forming the mainstay of the rig, and the barbed version is available alongside the barbless option for anglers who prefer or require that hook style.
