Middy set a challenge to build better rods than had ever been made before. With the XZ65 rods, we believe they have achieved that goal. Their match team consultants wanted a truly remarkably responsive rod that felt like a feather but had the strength of an elephant. They also wanted it a little shorter than the traditional 11ft pellet waggler rod length and this XZ65 is just 10'6. With the incorporation of new Nano-Core vacuum-cured carbon, Middy have managed to create all that they asked for - in fact, the balance is even better than could be imagined, with only your little finger required to hold this rod once a Baggin' Machine CXR 30 reel is fixed in place.
They have retained immense strength in the butt, yet the tip comes back to centre in a millisecond. The butt is under 10.5mm diameter and it is a dream to use. The shorter length allows you to perfectly control double-figure carp into your landing net as if they were tiddlers, with mainlines of up to 12lb not a worry. Further features include SC ultra-flow guides, a slim full-cork handle and screw-down ergonomic reel seat. All supplied in a free fully-padded Xtreme Rod Case, this is probably the best waggler rod available today. Mainline: 12lb, Hooklength: 8lb, Casting Weight: 25g.

Return of goods & Refunds
