Angling Direct is proud to present one of the raddest clothing brands around, Monkey Climber. Founded in 2010 and based in Belgium, Monkey Climber have a successful specimen and carp magazine and media outlet that gives a voice to the underground modern anglers. The magazine merges old and new styles of print to fit the contemporary needs of the fishing culture. They have since carried across this same ethos to the clothing, baits, bags and mugs they create.
This MC logo snapback is a 6-panel cap with a wide flat brim. This snapback from Monkey Climber is fitted with an adjustable snap on the back of the hat, which makes it ‘one size fits all’. The hat style is an icon, created with style and perfect for the modern angler. Monkey Climber has also stamped the hat with the silver snapback sticker on the peak.
A snapback has almost an angle of 90° between the cap and the brim of the snapback. Like that, the front panel of the snapback is very visible, giving the Monkey Climber logo full aesthetic worth range than the smaller panel options that occur in other cap designs.
The Monkey Climber emblem displays half the ape’s face appearing over the peak of the cap, whilst sporting a camouflage colour for the rest of the hat. This is perfect for carp anglers that love to keep hidden when near the bank. This is also ideal in the warmer seasons when the fish are closer to the surface, so the camouflage colour decreases your chances of spooking those carps.
The shape of the snapback design means it is a lot easier to wear the cap with the peak at the back of your head. Due to the peak being rather large it is also great for protecting your neck from the beams of the sun beating down on your during a long session in the summer.
Likewise, if you wear the hat with the peak covering your brow it will increase your depth perception of the water, preventing glare reaching your eyes and preventing some ultraviolet damage to both your eyes and head.
The hat is also made perfect for the warmer seasons thanks to the ventilation holes located on the top of all the panels. These allow for heat to escape from your head, keeping you cool, calm and collected for the challenges ahead.
The hat is made from a very thick, high-quality material that is built to last the rigours of fishing and every-day use. The tough fabric is held by the squatchee on the top of the cap which is the device that holds the panels of the cap together.
So for a camo cap that offers shade, shelter and style, look no further than Monkey Climber.
