Following on from the incredible success of the Preston DF20 Suit the brand decided to answer the calls from the UK’s passionate coarse and match fishing anglers to produce a lightweight version of the suit: the DF12. This suit has been purpose designed to stand up to all the summer downpours when you want something to keep you dry when the heavens open but its too muggy to wear a full on suit like the DF20. The material of the Preston DF12 Suit is more malleable than the original suit but it still retains the waterproof qualities that you demand on a damp summer day.

The jacket of the Preston DF12 Suit features an extended back. This means that you can be sat on your seatbox or crouched over your unhooking mat prepping your fish before placing it on your scales without worrying that you’ll get a soggy back from your jacket riding up. The jacket also offers a high neck to provide additional protection from the elements. The hood of the jacket has been fitted with a stiffened storm peak to protect your eyes from the rain and the cuffs have been fitted with neoprene lining to stop water from rolling up the inside of the jacket. All of the zips on the jacket are operated via the use of pulls to allow for ease of use when your hands are cold. The zips are also protected from wind and rain thanks to large storm flaps. The jacket is fitted with reinforced shoulder panels too, providing additional protection when you’re carrying heavy luggage.

The bib ‘n’ brace of the Df12 Suit also has reinforced panelling, this time on the knees and sear. This is to prevent premature wear and tear, allowing you to move with complete freedom on the bank. The legs of the bib ‘n’ brace are wide opening, so if you happened to get caught out in a flash shower you can pull these over your gear without having to remove your boots. The ankles of the trousers are Velcro adjustable too, so you can easily tuck them into your footwear.
