Rapala Countdown Sinking Lure - Firetiger

Rapala Countdown Sinking Lure Firetiger

Rapala Countdown Sinking Lure Firetiger is a classic hardbait designed for precise depth fishing, making it ideal for targeting predatory species such as perch, pike, trout and zander. It’s particularly effective on lakes, rivers and canals where fish are holding at specific depths rather than feeding on the surface.

The standout feature of this lure is its controlled sinking action, which allows anglers to fish at exact depths using the well-known “countdown” method. Sinking at approximately one foot per second, it enables you to count the lure down before retrieving, ensuring consistent presentation whether fish are suspended mid-water, holding near weed beds or tight to the bottom.

In terms of performance, the lure is constructed from balsa wood and delivers a slow-rolling, natural swimming action, designed to imitate an injured baitfish and trigger strikes from predatory fish. It can be used effectively when casting or trolling, making it versatile across a range of fishing situations.

The Firetiger colour pattern is highly visible and proven in coloured or murky water conditions, helping to attract attention through a combination of bright contrast and movement. Coupled with VMC black nickel hooks, the lure is ready to fish straight out of the box and built for consistent hook-ups.

Rapala is one of the most trusted names in fishing, and this lure reflects strong brand heritage, combining traditional construction with dependable action that has stood the test of time.
