Savage Gear Hop Popper Frog Floating Lure - Black

Savage Gear Hop Popper Frog Floating Lure – Black

Savage Gear Hop Popper Frog Floating Lure – Black is a topwater frog imitation designed for explosive surface predator fishing, making it ideal for targeting pike (and other predators) in heavy cover. It excels on lakes, canals and slow rivers where fish are holding in weed beds, lily pads or shaded areas.

Built specifically for topwater predator tactics, this lure is perfect for fishing over dense vegetation where traditional lures would snag. Its weedless design allows it to glide across pads, weed mats and other obstacles, making it highly effective for drawing fish out of cover.

The design includes a hollow, compressible body that exposes the hooks when a fish strikes, improving hook-up rates while still remaining snag-resistant during the retrieve. A wide-gap, upward-facing frog hook further enhances hooking efficiency when fishing in dense cover.

This Lure provides a highly specialised but effective solution for surface fishing in difficult areas, offering access to spots that other lures simply can’t fish effectively.

Savage Gear is well known for innovative predator lures, and this frog reflects strong brand credibility, particularly among anglers targeting fish in heavy cover.
