The updates Shimano reel of the Speedmaster series is the 14000 XTC reel. This a version packed with impressive features that improve onto the 2015 Speedcast XTB. Aside from the upgrades appearance, the reel features great specifications that make Shimano carp fishing gear better than before!
Whether you are targeting carp or catfish, the Shimano Speedmaster XTC is size 14000 and sports a hi-speed drag combined with a super-slow oscillation thanks to the A-RB bearings (4+1) and 4.3:1 gear ratio. This big pit reel gives a powerful performance for playing those stubborn fish.
The body of the reel is made from XT-7 material with a cold-forged aluminium AR-C spool which boasts a line capacity of 550m/0.35mm. The weight of the reel comes in at approximately 645g as it packs a lot of gears and power.
There is a single, machined aluminium handle, ideal for anglers that prefer to use their fingertips in the retrieval and the light feel makes reeling in all the much smoother and easier.
There is no extra spool with this reel and the drag is not waterproof but it offers a stunning matt black finish that has no glare or nasty reflections that may spook the fish when luring them into your swim.
