Produced to replace the classic and best selling SK3 series of sea rods, this Sonik SK3 XTR has been purpose designed for all your sea fishing over rough ground. This new SK3 XTR features a wealth of advances over the original SK3, all of which ensure that this rod is the best mid-priced sea fishing rod available on the market today.

The first of the big improvements that you’ll notice is in the structure of the blank. Utilising the most cutting edge materials, these carbon fibre blanks ensure that you experience a better cast than ever before. Not only this, but these blanks marry durability with responsiveness in order to give you the prefect fish playing machine over rough ground. This rod is available in two different lengths. The longest version of the rod is 14ft and has a casting weight of between five and seven ounces. This is the ideal rod for the angler for whom distance casting is the most essential aspect of their sea fishing and this rod will let you comfortably cast an impressive distance time after time. The shorter version of this rod is still an impressively lengthy 13ft and this rod can also cast between five and seven ounces. This rod is perfect for the average surf casting that the UK angler encounters.

This rod is fitted with a custom designed Sonik sliding reel seat which enables you to custom position your reel on the rod to best suit your casting style and the conditions of the water. The SK3 XTR Roughground is fitted with top end SiC guides. These ensure your line experiences minimal resistance on your casts, enabling you to hit out impressive distances with ease. The rod is finished with a smooth Japanese shrink wrap handle and comes with white tips for easy bite detection.
