Catch Experience Catch Experience

Bream feed at the bottom, which means that they will be causing a visible disturbance on the water floors. When fishing for them it is useful to look out for discolourations on the water surface as well as bubbles that may rise. Bream like to roll around on the surface prior to feeding, which will provide anglers with a visual pointer as to where they might start their session. In recent years anglers have found that they do not need heavy tackle to catch bream, and that lighter lines and small hooks do just fine. Because they are fussy eaters, it is advisable to feed them slow by letting them sample some light ground bait to begin with. The Bream have been observed just examining the hooked bait and not taking it if they find it suspicious or not to their liking. Upon taking the bait, they tend to not put up much of a fight, while they have a very strong pull, they are relatively easy to manouver into your landing net. It is advisable to be gentle with Bream.
