Where is the Store Located?
Situated just near the Meriton Road Park on the Paddock Shopping centre estate, Angling Direct Wilmslow is in Handforth, a short distance from Wilmslow town centre. The tackle store is just a few minutes off the main A34 Bypass and access can be found via the adjoining A555 heading along Wilmslow Rd. The Paddock Shopping Centre, where AD Wilmslow is located, offers ample free car parking that is situated immediately behind the store.
Close by there are numerous coffee shops where you can grab some food after a hard days shopping. There is also a park/play area for the family whilst you browse our thousands of items in store.
Local fishing venues include Goose Green Fisheries in Mottram St Andrews and Gawsworth Fisheries which is ideal for specimen angling. Many of the local waters to AD Wilmslow are club controlled by Prince Albert Angling Association, with who the store have an excellent relationship with. Also, the local Wilmslow Angling Club offer a collection of fishing venues less than five minutes away from the store. All membership application details are available in store.

Visitors will find a selection of bait displays, luggage, rods on display to try out, clothing and endless angling accessories. The Wilmslow store caters for coarse, match, carp and predator angling as well as a select sea fishing range for the coastal angler. The AD team have knowledge and expertise across all disciplines so get your questions on tackle or tricks answered. The Wilmslow team have long-standing carp anglers in the house as well as active match fishing participants who can offer winning tips and local knowledge on venues nearby. The store also has two Professional Angling Coach Level One members on-site to help with basics if required.

Matt is the qualified coach for Angling Direct Wilmslow. He has been angling for over 35 years and has been actively involved in the angling industry for over 30 years!
As a keen carp angler, Matt has fished for them exclusively for over 30 years but is also a keen perch angler during the winter months. I also like to fish rivers for mixed species on occasion.

The pole specialist for Angling Direct Wilmslow is Mark. Mark is also the Assistant Manager at the Wilmslow Fishing Tackle store so he has a wealth of product knowledge that can certainly help when picking your next fishing pole!
Mark started fishing 50-plus years ago when his dad used to take him fishing. Mark has spent over 40 years fishing for big carp in the UK and abroad. For the last 3 years or so Mark has been match fishing on commercial waters.
