Trakker Tempest Brolly Utility Front Groundsheet
If you want to keep the interior of your bivvy or brolly system dry, clean, and damp-free then you only have one solution: a groundsheet. These heavy duty sheets are a vital accessory for the dedicated carp angler and you’ll struggle to find an angler on the bank who doesn’t use a groundsheet as a regular part of their session carp fishing setup. Whether you’re fishing in the summer months and want to stop the ingress of bankside nasties, you’re fishing in the cold months and you want to limit your exposure to the worst of the chill, or you’re angling on a typical wet British day and you want to prevent damp from building up inside your bivvy, a groundsheet is the best and most effective solution to your problems. What’s more, it is also an ideal solution to the problem of condensation in the summer months.
This is the groundsheet for the Trakker Tempest Brolly Utility Front. The Utility Front is effectively an extension for your brolly system, transforming your setup from a one-man short-stay shelter into a huge two-man shelter which is perfect for all your long session carp fishing. You simply attach this front onto your shelter by clipping it to the poles of the brolly itself and pegging it down as you would any ordinary bivvy. It comes supplied with all of its own tensioning straps and bars, to ensure that it doesn’t sacrifice the structural integrity of the brolly system. This Utility Front Groundsheet has also been designed with the structural integrity of the brolly system in mind. It has been fitted with metal-rimmed eyelets, which line up with the prime pegging points of the Tempest Brolly. These ensure that you’re able to peg out your brolly system as normal whilst using it in conjunction with your Utility Front. This is the ideal option for the angler who likes to have the entire interior of their bivvy system covered.
When used in conjunction with the Tempest Brolly Groundsheet, you can enjoy a total floor space of 255cm x 310cm. This is a huge amount of covered space on which you can store all your vital carp fishing luggage, cooking equipment, and accessories, as well as your bedchair and any other objects that you would typically store in your bivvy. The groundsheet allows you to ensure that all your vital gear is protected from the damp ground – essential whether you’re arriving at an already damp swim or you’re setting up on a day which is threatening to rain. After all, when it is raining you are more likely to enter and exit your bivvy more regularly as you seek shelter between takes or adjustments. This increased foot traffic can cause muddy patches to form directly outside your bivvy and using a ground sheet prevents these kinds of patches from forming inside your bivvy too!
This is a top quality Trakker product and, as such, it has been manufactured to all of Trakker’s most exacting standards. Not only is this Trakker Tempest Brolly Utility Front Groundsheet manufactured from a top end material but it also comes supplied with a 210D draw cord bag, for ease of transportation. It has been fitted with a tag in order to indicate the door positioning and is has an elastic and ring system to allow for the efficient pegging of the groundsheet. These heavy duty T-pegs are provided with the system as standard, too, and the groundsheet boasts a webbing edge – preventing fraying and increasing the lifelong wear of the groundsheet.
