Since 2011, the clothing brand, Wofte has been designing gear for anglers that offers a brand-new ‘streetwise’ take on traditional angling fashion. Made by young and innovative anglers, Wofte were determined to bring carp fishing back to its roots but with a modern twist. The unusual brand name is actually an acronym. Originally known as Watch Out For Them Eels, the name quickly became shortened and abbreviated and the brand was born. Wofte were understated and boasted a limited colour pallet of traditional khaki, olive green, and brown. Today, other manufacturers have done a 180 and are racing to catch up with Wofte’s street-smart threads. None have pulled it off as effortlessly as the original.
