Fishing brollies are the perfect way to escape the sun and rain when you’re sneaking in a quick angling session or if you plan to be mobile over a large area and want to minimise the effort involved in setting up at a new swim. The Chub Outkast 60inch Brolly is perfect for good-to-fair weather conditions and forms the core component of a larger system that is separately available but able to handle more extreme wind and rain. At this core sits a 7-spoke plunger that it is high up and far back into the brolly’s interior to give you the greatest possible headroom. The ribs which radiate out from this plunger are extended at the sides to bring panels down the ground, enclosing three quarters of the space. The incurable carp anglers among you are likely to be grateful for this extra protection as you hunker down in your bedchairs to watch out for bites.

As with many of Chub’s bivvies and brollies, a Back Draft Ventilation System is included in the rear panel to promote air flow and keep temperatures down in hot weather. It comes with a package of four storm poles, easy-to-use T-pegs, and an oversized carry bag. The carry bag will be more than welcome to anyone who has tried to fight a tent, bivvy, or brolly into a bag that is barely big enough. Talking of dimensions, this is certainly a roomy umbrella at 1.3m x 2.7m x 1.75m (H x W x D) but it still weighs in at a nimble 7kg.
