Final Week Of King Of The Catch 2016

It’s the final week of King of the Catch! Entries and voting both close at midday on Friday 30th September, so it really is your last chance to get involved for your chance to win one of five once-in-a-lifetime holidays!

At the front of the competition things are really heating up, but don’t worry if you’re a couple of hundred votes behind. One final push could see you overtake the current leader – it’s happened before and it can happen again! This also means that the current leaders can’t take their foot off the gas, so even if you think you’re miles ahead you shouldn’t rest on your laurels. Last year saw late surges from both our sea category winner and our coarse category winner, who stormed ahead to victory in the closing stages of the competition!

As a reminder, here’s what first place are set to win:

Carp Fishing – A trip for two to the St Lawrence River, Canada. This trip can be taken in July, August, or September 2017 and is for eight days, seven nights, and includes six days on the river.

Predator Fishing – You and your friend to join angling legend John Wilson (MBE) on his private lake in Thailand for eight days and seven nights, with five days spent on the lake itself. This trip of a lifetime can be taken at any time, excluding school holidays.

Coarse Fishing – A week of sturgeon fishing with the Sportquest team in Canada. This fully hosted holiday for two runs between 19th August and 27th August 2017 and includes six days of fishing.

Sea Fishing –A fully hosted Sportquest holiday for two, fishing for cod and halibut in Havoysund, Norway! This trip runs between 30th May and 7th June 2017, with six fantastic days spent out on the water.

Junior – A trip for two to Ebro, Spain. Running for eight days, seven nights, and including six days of fishing fun, this trip gives you the chance to catch some whopping carp and catfish. Please note the winner of this category must be accompanied by a responsible adult, parent, or guardian on this trip.

Don’t forget that the second placed angler in each category is also in line to win a fantastic £1,000 to spend either in store or online. The battle for second place is just as important as the battle for first and in a number of categories there are only a handful of votes in it! What’s more, if an angler is winning in more than one category then the category in which they have the fewest votes will pass to the second place contestant, meaning that third place will win the £1,000 – so there really is everything to play for.

We’d also like to take a moment to remind all our contestants that all votes will be verified before the final winners are announced. All disingenuous votes will be removed and could result in the competitor being disqualified altogether, so please do make sure that all your votes are obtained through genuine sources. For more information, please consult our terms and conditions.
