Daiwa Sandstorm Beach Rod
Daiwa is one of the biggest brands in the tackle business. Famous as much for its exacting Japanese standards of product as it is for its continued innovation and incredible technologies, it might come as a surprise for many to learn that Daiwa’s biggest production facility outside of the Far East is actually based in Whishaw, Scotland. This means that many of the rods sold to the UK market, like the ones of sale here at Angling Direct, have actually been designed here in the UK, with UK anglers in mind. This can’t be truer of the Sand Storm series and this Sand Storm Beach Rod has been designed for the UK sea fishing market by anglers directly involved in the UK sea fishing industry.
This could be one of the reasons why this rod has proved so popular and the Sand Storm Beach Rod is a familiar site up and down the UK’s coastline. Like all Daiwa rods, the Sand Storm Beach Rod has been manufactured with the cutting edge of Daiwa’s technologies. It boasts a stiff carbon butt section, ensuring that this rod has the kind of backbone you require to be able to cast out impressive distances beyond the surf. The rod blank has a compound construction that blends carbon fibre with glass fibre and tapers nicely to give you the kinds of speed you require on your cast. This rod is available in two different model styles, allowing you to either fish with a multiplier reel or a fixed spool reel. The M models have been fitted with a stainless steel coaster, to allow you the kind of freedom of positioning you require when angling with a multiplier reel. The F models have been fitted with a Duplon reel seat, firmly fixing your fixed spool reel in position.
