Daiwa’s range of Sealine multiplier reels have achieved a mythical status in the dedicated sea fishing community. They excel both on the shore and from the boat and they have a cult following of avid fans. These new SLOSH XA reels look to surpass the originals in terms of popularity and they boast a range of new and updated features whilst still maintaining all the charm of the original SLOSH reels.

With more gold detailing than the original these reels look stunning and will surely turn heads all along the coast line. The SHLOSH XA reels are fitted with lightweight composite side plates and an aluminium spool. This combination ensures that this reel is exceptionally strong as well as being weightless enough to balance perfectly on any high performance surf caster or sea fishing rod.

There are two different reels in the Sealine SLOSH XA range. The smaller SLX30SHA was been purpose designed for all shore work. This includes distance fishing and there are a number of features on this reel – including the intelligent centrifugal braking system – that help you achieve great distances with this reel. The reel also has a heavyweight gearing set-up to maintain performance even in areas of rough ground. The larger SLX40SHA is a supersized version of the Sealine SLOSH XA. Boasting a jaw dropping retrieval rate of 114cm per handle, this reel has been purpose designed to tackle the hardest fighting tope and pollack that parade our shores.

Both reels offer 6.1:1 gearing, as well as waterproof drag. Waterproof drag is useful for ensuring the continued high performance of any reel but it becomes vital when saltwater is involved. Saltwater is highly corrosive, so preventing water from entering the precision drag system is essential. The Sealine SLOSH XA reels also have three corrosion resistant ball bearings, ensuring that this reel is smooth to use – both on the cast and the retrieve.
