Daiwa Tournament Entoh Reels
This Tournament Entoh is a cosmetically enhanced, quick drag version of the best selling favourite by one of the biggest brands in the business - Daiwa. Famous for its compact body, which ensures it sits perfectly on any carp rod, combined with its big pit credentials; this Daiwa Tournament Entoh is the retouched reel of carp anglers’ dreams. The spool and handle of the Entoh have been finished in Daiwa’s stunning twilight colouring and the bail arm is in a traditional silver. These add a classy touch of colour to the otherwise matt black reel and if you’re after a reel that looks the part then you need look no further. However, as with all Daiwa reels, the Tournament much more than simply looks the part; this stunning reel is packed out with technology that ensures it performs the part, too.
The aluminium spool on the Entoh has been designed used Daiwa’s Anti-Backlash System (ABS). ABS is Daiwa’s patented large diameter tapered spool design, which has been purpose created in order to extends casting distance whilst simultaneously reducing the risk of tangles and line twist. The line roller on the Entoh has also been fitted with Daiwa’s Twist Buster technology, which has been purpose designed to eliminate line twist on the line roller. This in turn extends line life and enables you to fish as confidently with a thin monofilament mainline or braid as you would with your standard monofilament mainline. Worm shaft oscillation gives you a flawless line lay, too, for increased casting potential.
Not only this, but the spool has been fitted with one of the brand’s innovative high impact (HIP) line clips. These line clips are sprung loaded, which ensures that can comfortably hold lines of all widths. If you want to be able to fish on the clip, with accuracy, without incurring line damage, with a variety of line types, then a HIP line clip is your only option. This clip allows you to cast out to the exact same spot time and time again, with complete confidence. The Daiwa Tournament Entoh is a casting machine and to aid the cast the reel has been fitted with Cast Lock. This is a setting which locks the handle into place when the bail arm is open. This ensures that line trap is eliminated and allows you to manually close the bail arm when you need.
As part of its upgrades, the Daiwa Tournament Entoh has been fitted with the brand’s revolutionary Quick Drag system. This system is operated by a small precision adjust drag knob, situated at the front of the spool for ease of access, and allows you to switch between freespool mode and full drag within a single turn. This is ideal for those anglers who tackle the most aggressive of fish as it allows the fish to run until you decide to crank up the drag. In real terms, this results in more landed fish, as you are in full control of your gear. The reel has been fitted with no fewer than eight ball bearings, as well as two corrosion resistant ball bearings. These 10 bearings ensure that you’re left with an incredibly smooth operating reel that offers flawless lifelong performance. Digigear operates in the main body of the reel to ensure that the gear mesh is every bit as flawless as the rest of the reel. After all, miss-meshing gears will not only wear faster, but they will also reduce the pulling potential of the reel. You can take on the biggest and hardest fighting fish in the UK with this top end performance reel.
The Daiwa Tournament Entoh has some outstanding features to offer, making it one of the finest carp reels on the market today.
