Description
Dave Harrell Insert Peacock Waggler
The Dave Harrell Insert Peacock Waggler is the perfect fishing float for shy biting stillwater and river fish, where sensitivity rather than buoyancy is required. Ideal for use with smaller lines and when fishing for the smallest of indications from roach, dace and chub.
The tip of these waggler floats features an ultra-light hollow insert that makes these floats extremely visible, as it allows light to shine through it and can be seen easily even when dotted down to a pimple. The insert tip of these waggler floats is incredibly sensitive and will magnify even the smallest of indications, great when fishing for fast biting fish such as dace. These waggler floats are best used with very little shot down the line and fished with the depth set off the bottom. Dave Harrell recommends using a simple shotting pattern, with the majority of the shot is used to set the float to the level of the insert with just a few no.8 or no.10 shot equally spaced down the line and the bottom shot no more than 8-10 inches from the hook. Dave Harrell has used a straight peacock body down from the tip of these waggler floats to ensure the float casts accurately and offers minimal resistance on the bite. Available in sizes from 2AAA to 5AAA, the Dave Harrell Insert Peacock Waggler Float is a must have addition to any anglers coarse fishing tackle.
Dave Harrell Insert Peacock Waggler,
This is the perfect float for shy biting stillwater and river fish where sensitivity rather than buoyancy is required. The ultra light hollow insert allows light to shine through it and can be seen easily, even when dotted down to a dimple. This float is best used with very little shot down the line and fished with the depth set off the bottom, I would recommend a simple shotting pattern. The majority of the shot is used to set the float to the level of the insert with just a few No8 or No10 shot equally spaced down the line. Always have the bottom shot around eight to ten inches from the hook.
Our silicone rubber waggler adaptors allow for float sizes to be changed quickly and easily.
