The smart phone app which accompanies the Deeper not only conveys the readings of the sonar system but also features; a fishing calendar, camera function, weather forecast, fishing notes, offline maps, and unlimited history, allowing you to keep a record of the venues that you have fished. A Deeper Smart Phone Mount is available separately and enables you do strap your smart phone to your rod, making operating the app a hands free experience, so you can concentrate on casting and retrieve. 

Where the Deeper Chirp differs from previous models and other sonar products on the market is the sonar system itself. Traditional sonar sends out a single pulse at a time, whereas, CHIRP, or Compressed High Intensity Radiated Pulse, emits a continuous flow of frequencies ranging from low to high. As a result, the Deeper Chirp+ will paint a clearer picture of what is beneath the surface, presenting a high-resolution interpretation of topography and features on the lakebed, the clarity definitely gives you an edge, especially in terms of species recognition.
