Drennan Vertex 11ft Pellet Waggler Fishing Rod

After the success and popularity of the Series 7 range, Drennan is back with its new Vertex range of rods, utilising the improvements in materials and construction techniques in recent years. The Vertex range includes eight rods and two net handles; two carp feeder rods, two waggler rods, two method feeder rods, two float rods, a two-piece net handle and a telescopic net handle.

Like all apparatus in the Drennan Vertex range, the super lightweight 11ft Vertex Pellet Waggler Rod has a high modulus carbon blank and is finished in Drennan’s iconic colour scheme, the distinctive turquoise accent stands out against the darker blank and compliments the rest of the Vertex range stylishly.

The Pellet Waggler from Drennan has, as the name suggests, been designed with pellet waggler tactics in mind, its lightweight design will be particularly handy when you need a spare hand for your catapult or need to strike with just one hand.

Starting from the bottom up, the Vertex 11ft Pellet Waggler features an EVA foregrip to offer you a better grasp and improve leverage whilst casting. Coupled with the foregrip is a high-grade cork handle, all things considered a lightweight and comfortable handle, maximising your comfort on the bank.

The screw down reel seat will comfortably secure your chosen reel and minimise any lateral movement whilst playing a fish. Above the reel seat is a centrally position hook keeper for a quick and easy switch of rods whilst on the bank.

The blank is lined with optimally positioned SiC guides, stronger than a stainless steel equivalent and less likely to cause problems from abrasion.

At the tip of the rod, a cushion strike tip acts as a shock absorber and enables the use of waggler floats of all shapes and sizes and is designed to minimise those agonising hook pulls.

For optimal performance the vertex 11ft Pellet Waggler should be paired with 4lb-6lb (0.16mm – 0.22mm) breaking strain line, helping you cast accurately time after time.
