ESP Stash Camo Jacket

Camouflage is at last making its much anticipated resurgence into the carp fishing world and this ESP Stash Camo Jacket is an excellent way to incorporate this classic pattern into your angling wardrobe. This jacket is, however, much more than simply a fashion statement. Highly practical, the ESP Stash Camo Jacket has been designed for the angler who likes to be prepared for all scenarios on the bank and who isn’t afraid to tackle the water in the most adverse of conditions. Manufactured from a fabric that is both wind and waterproof, this jacket is also incredibly lightweight. This allows it to be easily compressed when not in use and it is ideal to stash in luggage ready for use whenever the weather takes a turn for the worse.

The ESP Stash Camo Jacket has been designed with a comfort cut, ensuring that you can layer underneath the jacket as required whilst still enjoying your full range of movement. The hood has a peak, which not only maintains your full range of vision but it also prevents rain dripping onto your face or into your eyes, and is completely adjustable. This allows you to tighten it around your face when the wind is high and threatening to rip it from your head. A high collar also prevents draughts around your delicate neck area, as well a reducing the risk of cold air entering the jacket itself. Hand warmer pockets not only provide the perfect place to stow your hands away from the cold but are roomy, too, to ensure you can keep your mobile phone and bite alarm receiver close to hand. The jacket also offers additional internal zipped pockets, which are ideal for the storage of all your most valuable items – including your car keys and wallet.

The zipper on the ESP Stash Camo Jacket has been manufactured by YKK – the world leading zipper manufacturer – and is protected by a rain baffle in order to prevent the incursion of rain and wind. Neoprene cuffs reduce the risk of water ingress (for example, when you raise your arms on the cast or retrieve) and are fully adjustable to prevent draughts, too. The rear hem of the jacket has been scooped in order to prevent lower-back exposure when you’re knelt by the water unhooking your carp ready for the scales, too.

The ESP Stash Camo Jacket forms part of ESP’s impressive Stash clothing range. This is a range of high performance wet and winter wear, all of which has been designed to store as compactly as possible. The Stash range is for the angler who understands the unpredictable nature of the Great British weather and who also does not want to have their day session cut short because of a sudden drop in temperature. This clothing range is also perfect for the long session angler who enjoys spending a number of nights on the bank, as the compact storage of the clothing ensures that you don’t have to worry about taking up excess luggage space whilst still remaining prepared for all eventualities.

ESP has enjoyed a cult following ever since the brand was launched, back in 1999. The brand name has almost become as iconic as the man who invented it – a certain Terry Hearn who once claimed that he must have an ‘extra sensory perception’ when it came to landing monster carp. The brand is best known for its top quality terminal tackle but, alongside this top end clothing range, it also produces carp rods and reels – all of which have Terry Hearn’s seal of approval.
