Fox Explorer Rods

The Fox Explorer Rods are built on the Horizon X3 blank but offer a unique retractable butt feature which allows them to be fished at two different lengths. This offers customisation like never before so anglers casting preferences can be met. The retracted butt section of the Explorer Rod can be locked into two different positions meaning that all models can be fished at either 8ft or 10ft allowing you to effortless change the length of your rod to suit the angling situation that faces you.

This Fox rod is ideal when targeting bigger species such as catfish and sturgeon as it is made from high modulus, lightweight carbon construction. This not only offers strength but power to both models. We, here at Angling Direct stock the 8-10ft 3lb and 8-10ft 3.25lb.#

Both models comes with lightweight double legged guides with anti-tangle tip ring and a 40mm butt for the ultimate line control. For a secure cast, you can attach your reel of choice via the 18mm DPS-style reel seat.

The Explorer rods also sport a Full Japanese shrink wrap handle for a secure hold when boldly casting and playing fish. For anglers that like to travel light or are perhaps have a smaller vehicle, the Explorer offers compact storage thanks to retracting butt section.

If that was not enough, the rod is nicely finished off with black whippings and guides along with understated graphics.
