Gardner Mistral Boilie Chopper,
For the carp angler, chopped boilies can make all the difference to a carpet bait mix. Providing boilies in a variety of sizes can ensure that your carp are grubbing around for hours, hovering up every last bit of bait and maximising their chances of sucking up your hookbait. However, chopping boilies either before you head to the water’s edge or at the bank itself can be an arduous and time consuming task, with rolling boilies firing off under the pressure of your knife and become scattered around your kitchen, garage, or the bankside. Many anglers are left faced with a difficult decision – to spend valuable time chopping boilies or to go without this devastating addition to their carp bait strategy. Luckily, there is a third option. Gardner has teamed up with Mistral Baits in order to bring you the Gardner Mistral Boilie Chopper.
This pocket sized chopper is ideal for when you want to crush up handfuls of boilies quickly and efficiently – providing you with a carpet of roughly-chopped boilies that will keep your carp in your swim until each and every chunk is devoured. The hopper has a capacity of two/three handfuls – depending on the size of your hands and the size of the boilies. This means that you can chop up a spods-worth of boilies in mere minutes, which is ideal for when you want to add extra bait into your swim during your session. By spending a little more time with the chopper, you can chop up a few kilograms of boilies in only a few minutes – emptying the bottom chamber of the chopper after each couple of handfuls to keep the bait moving through the system. You’ll soon find that you’ve crushed up enough boilies to keep you going throughout the duration of your session.
To use, simply open up the top lid of the hopper. Inside, you’ll see a row of stainless steel teeth on a rotating pole. Simply pour a couple of handfuls of boilies into the hopper – making sure that you can still close the lid and ensuring that you do not overfill the system. Then, simply rotate the handle, applying a little pressure to the top of the system for stability if required. You’ll hear the boilies rolling over the teeth and you’ll see the chopped results in the transparent base. Once all the boilies are chopped, as little as 20 seconds later, you can lift the entire hopper section from the base. You can then empty the base into your bucket – or directly into your spod rocket, if you so choose. Then, either distribute your bait into your swim or re-attach the hopper and start the whole process again! You’ll soon find that you’ve chopped the entirety of your carp fishing baits, ready for use in your swim.
One of the biggest assets of this Gardner Mistral Boilie Chopper is its compact size. This means that you don’t have to worry about bringing a whole other bucket with you down to the bank, just for chopping your boilies. Instead, this entire system can fit neatly into the pocket of any carryall, rucksack, or any other carp fishing luggage item that you may own. This way, you can mix up your tactics whilst you’re on the bank – adding chopped boilies into the swim at any point during your session as this system can always be to hand. If you’re looking for a neat and compact way to chop a large amount of boilies then you need look no further. Saving you time on the bank and ensuring that you can always get the perfect carpet of baits, the Gardner Mistral Boilie Chopper is an ideal addition to any carp fishing arsenal.
