Harrison Chimera Rods
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then the Harrison Chimera rod series can consider itself thoroughly flattered! The first rod of its generation to incorporate a two weave concept, this rod has been mirrored by countless other companies since its release with varying degrees of success. Suffice to say that nothing comes close to the original, and the Harrison Chimera reigns supreme in the two weave world!
The rod offers a 3K carbon weave on the butt section, with 1K carbon fabric woven on the tip. Not only does this two weave effect look seriously good but it also produces huge performance perks. The 3K on the butt section ensures that this rod is sturdy and powerful enough to cope with any hard-fighting opponent whereas the 1K tip maintains the forgiving play action of the rod. In short, this is a rod that offers the kind of elasticity that you require when you’re dealing with lunging big fish whilst also containing the power in reserve to tame these fish to the bank and into your landing net. There are three different rod options in the Chimera range. The first of these is the classic all-round carp rod: the Chimera 12ft 3lb. The 12ft 3.5lb is the perfect distance casting machine that has been manufactured with distance casting experts in mind. Falling in between the two is the 3.25lb 12ft option. This is for the angler who still wants to hit a reasonable distance but who isn’t as confident in their casting – any angler will enjoy casting with this rod! All three of the rods in the range are finished with the same top of the range furnishings. Kigan Zirconium guides ensure that your line can fly along the rod for long casting and a Fuji DPS reel seat can accommodate a huge range of reels – holding each in the perfect position even when up against a violent opponent.
