If you were one of the countless anglers who fell in love with the original Harrison Torrix rod but wished it would be able to give you those few extra yards when you really needed it then you’ll adore this Torrix Extreme. Built to almost exactly the same specifications as the original Torrix 12ft rod, the Harrison Torrix Extreme has been stepped up a notch to ensure it can perform incredibly on the largest UK carp fishing venues. The modifications on the rod blank give the rod a little more power and greater tip speed – resulting in greater distance casting.

The rod blank is manufactured from no fewer than four different carbon fibre types. These have each been configured in a slightly different orientation – maximising the Torrix Extreme’s resistance to torque on the cast. This allows you to obtain greater power on the cast, whilst retaining the kind of accuracy you require to hit your key features on the countries largest venues. The blank manages this exceptional power whilst still offering a slender diameter and lightweight feel.

As with all Harrison rods, the Torrix Extreme has been designed, developed, and manufactured in the UK – with British angling in mind. As you might expect from top end British construction, the Torrix Extreme has been finished with top end furnishings, too. Stainless steel buttons and collars ensure that this rod is hardwearing and will look as great in a decade as it does today. A shrink rubber abbreviated EVA handle enables you to hold this rod with confidence and power and the Fuji reel seat keeps your reel in the perfect position throughout your cast and retrieve. The rod is finished with a Kigan 3D extra strong ring setup, which begins with a 50mm ring at the butt – for distance casting accuracy – and ends with a 16mm tip ring.
