Harrison Torrix Full Cork Rod
Whether you’ve been carp fishing from the day you were old enough to hold a rod or you’ve only recently got into the sport chances are you’ll have heard lots about the Harrison Torrix rod. The Torrix has been the benchmark rod for others to match for many years now and, what’s more, it’s manufactured right here in the UK! This is the Harrison Torrix Full Cork, which offers a full high grade cork handle to ensure you can get a great grip – as well as giving the rod its classic good looks.
The first thing you’ll notice about the Harrison Torrix Full Cork is the 1K carbon finish, which is woven around the butt section of the rod. Not only does this look great but it also adds additional strength to the rod without adding any additional weight. The tip section of the rod also feature a little of this 1K weave but because the rod is manufactured with internal carbon scrims Harrison has avoided adding too much additional stiffness which could effect the action and performance of the rod. Like the classic 12ft Torrix this Torrix Full Cork offers a 3.25lb test curve. This ensures that the rod will perform well across the carp fishing discipline. This rod is optimised for a 3.5 oz lead, but your choice of lead will depend on how you want the rod to behave once you’ve powered it up. This is an exceptionally high power rod and it has been built for high quality distance casting – in grass tests Harrison’s best casters have been able to achieve distances of 200 yards. To help you achieve these distances the rod has been furnished with Kigan 3D guides in a 40mm configuration – allowing your line to fly.
This Harrison Torrix Full Cork is the ideal carp rod for use in a variety of ways across the carp discipline and it is one of the most popular carp rods among the avid fishing community of its generation.
