Thinking Tackle Series 9
This is the full DVD box set of the ninth series of Korda’s Thinking Tackle TV show. As always, the show showcases the very best of Team Korda’s tactics as they target carp across the UK. It also shows off all the latest Korda tackle, giving you a taste of the results you can get with Korda’s top quality gear. The series originally aired on Sky Sports but, regardless of whether you managed to catch it the first time around or not (no pun intended) this DVD collection is the perfect way to witness the action.
There are eight incredible episodes in the series, so let us give you a little teaser of what to expect from the show.
Episode one features carp fishing legends Ali Hamidi and Tom Dove as they tackle St Johns Lake at Oxford’s Linear Fisheries. Linear is an angling Mecca and the pair are trying their luck to outfox the carp that escaped them the last time they visited the complex. This time they have the underwater cameras out in force, too, so you can get an up-close and personal look at all the action! Episode two sees James Turner join Ali on the banks of Bayeswater, Essex. James is a big-carp specialist so this is the perfect episode to watch if you’ve been trying to break your personal best without success. Episode three pairs Simon Scott with Eliot Gray and the duo put all their skills to the test on one of the top day-ticket lakes in the country – The Quarry. This is a true carp fishing master-class as the pair catch some of the biggest fish the venue has to offer. Episode four sees another Simon Scott and Team Korda pairing. This time he is joined by Tom Dove on Todber Manor Fishery and the pair give you their best tips for catching carp on high pressure lakes.
Episode five pairs Simon with old friend Ben Gratwicke. Ben is the proud owner of Digger Lakes in Devon and this is the venue of choice for the pairing. If you’re an angler who targets intimate venues such as this, then this is perfect episode to watch to pick up the pair’s top tips. The sixth episode is Simon Scott’s final outing on this series of Thinking Tackle. This time, Simon meets up with England Internationals Billy Flower and Jamie Londoners. The duo teach Simon their tactics for catching large numbers of carp under immense time pressure and this really is a must watch for the angler who finds themselves pressed for time on the bank. Episode seven sees Korda’s leading man out on the bank for the first time this series. That’s right, Danny Fairbrass himself is showing you his best tactics for tackling highly pressured day ticket venues. He is joined on the banks of Hardwich Smiths by Neil Spooner and the pair attempt to outwit the crafty carp that the venue holds. The gripping final episode of the series sees Danny Fairbrass and Mark Bryant tackling the famous Bluebell Lakes – a day ticket complex that holds some of the UKs biggest carp.
