Salmo Trollmaster Rod

Founded in 1991, and based in Poland, Salmo is a tackle manufacturer that focuses on producing great quality lures and rods. As a brand, Salmo has very high standards as they claim you only need to fish with a Salmo lures once to be convinced of how special they are. The powerful combination of experienced fish biologists and some of the most demanding field testers in angling results in a range of lure fishing tackle that catch when others fail.

As the name suggests the Salmo Trollmaster Rod is designing specifically for trolling lures, the Salmo range includes hundreds of different lures, one for every angling situation. The Salmo Trollmaster compliments these lures and gives you the ultimate control whilst trolling, whether you’re fishing from the bank or a boat, ideally the Trollmaster should be used in conjunction with hardbaits such as the Salmo Perch and Salmo Freediver.  

The rod itself is 2.4m in length and has a casting weight of 40-60g, the rod is a two piece and as such can easily be stored in the corresponding 1.2m holdall for easy transportation to and from the bank.

The blank of the Salmo Tollmaster Rod is constructed from 30T carbon and is lined with high-quality K guides and black whippings, at the base of the blank is a Fuji screw down reel seat, Fuji are the go-to reel seat manufacturers for top-end rod producers and you can be confident that any lateral movement whilst playing a fish will be minimised.

 The rod is primarily finished in a carbon look matte black with gloss black whippings, accented with electric blue trim and minimal Trollmaster and Salmo branding at the base of the blank.
