The Alivio Surf is Shimano’s most affordable surf casting rod and is a great choice if you are new to surf casting, an occasional surf casting angler or on a very tight budget. This deceptively powerful range will safely work with leads up to 225g (8oz) and give you the confidence to really power into a cast, especially when using a simple overhead casting action.
