The Super Ultegra range of tackle and luggage has long been associated with top quality match fishing and this Shimano Super Ultegra AX Feeder Rod is no different. 11ft in length, this rod can cope with most lake and river situations with ease.

The rod blank is constructed from HPC100 carbon fibre and has a biofibre reinforcement. HPC refers to the high pressure that is exerted on the carbon blank during the heating a curing process. Without this pressure, the carbon resin finds its way to the surface of the rod during the heating process. When pressure is exerted on the blank it ensures that this resin is disturbed evenly through the core of the rod and rods manufactured in this way are up to 40% stronger than rods manufactured without pressure exertion. Biofibre adds additional reinforcement to the fibres in all directions and ensures the rod maintains it powerful through action.

The action of this rod is one of its biggest advantages as it allows you to fish with confidence on both rivers and commercials. The progressive through action operates right down to the butt, meaning that the rod cushions all the force of the fish. In turn, this allows you to fish with lighter lines and smaller hooks with full confidence, enabling you to land bigger fish with greater ease. The compression that occurs in the cast allows you to achieve greater distances and even with a fully loaded feeder you’re able to cast out 60 or 70 yards with ease.

The Super Ultegra Feeder can cast up to 60gs with ease, making it ideal for your average fully loaded method feeder fishing. It comes with 0.75oz, 1oz, and 2oz quivers to give you full versatility across the disciplines. Fitted with large Fuji guides you are able to use thick lines, if you require them, whilst still being able to cast out to your full potential.
