This petite rod is perfect for all types of boat fishing, where rod length is essential, and has been specifically designed with float fishing from a kayak in mind. Built on the Yasei concept, the Float T-Kayak Rod from Shimano has been designed to allow you to tackle the wilder fish that are only accessible by more innovative means.

The Yasei Float T-Kayak Rod boasts an HPC100 Biofibre blank. HPC refers to the method of applying extreme pressure to the carbon in the blank during the curing process. In the traditional curing process the fibres in the blank rise to the surface. This creates an unstable blank with weak points in its core. By exerting high pressure on the carbon during the curing process it works against the outward movement of the carbon fibres and forces the fibres towards to the core of the blank. This ensures that there is an even distribution of carbon fibres throughout the blank. When HPC is combined with Biofibre it creates rods that are exceptionally strong and incredibly durable.

The Yasei Float T-Kayak has a progressive action with a soft butt section. This is ideal for close quarters fishing and is essential when tackling a hard fighting fish near the tip of your rod. The soft progressive action ensures that your rod is protected from breakages when fighting fish close to you. This rod is 6ft in length, allowing you to have excellent manoeuvrability even when fishing in tight or confined spaces, where your own movement is limited. It is also fitted with a metal ring on the butt cap. This enables you to secure your rod to your kayak.

The Fuji SKSS exposed spilt spinning reel seat on this rod has been designed to be ultra-light in order to improve sensitivity on the rod. This allows you to tackle even the most delicate of takes for increased landing success. The guides on the rod are also designed by Fuji. Strong and highly durable, these K-type Alconite guides allow you to fish with confidence in even the most demanding scenarios.
