Thinking Anglers Camskin

Thinking Anglers was founded by Ben Hamilton and Steve Fantauzzi in 2005. It is a manufacturer with the view to design a range of fishing tackle for the angler who do not want to be bogged down with a whole host of kit. Aiming to provide ‘just the right kit’ has been the driving force that keeps Steve and Ben designing and manufacturing kits that are absolutely essential for the modern angler’s setup. Producing predominately for the carp fishing industry, the company also has a range designed with predator angling in mind.

Think Anglers has designed a spool of camouflage coated hooklength to help keep your rigs disguised as much as possible when under the water. Attempting to make the line almost invisible as it blends into the surrounding colours of the lake bed, the camskim offers a range of features that carps will not be spooked by.

There are also sprayed sections along the line to break up the colours along with the rig, this will look great across the gravel, sand and silt bottoms where the line can adapt better to its surrounding colours. Camskin has obvious advantages for presentation and concealment as well as the ability to sink naturally.

Camskins coating has a higher strength than most other coated braids, this is most notably when tying the knot, where the breaking of the coating can severely compromise the anti-tangle properties of the finished tied rig. It is suggested to strip part of the line to reveal the supple braided core when needing to tie. This is easy to do as well is making the line perfectly straight. You can straighten the line by simply hovering it over the steam from your boiling kettle.

As well as Camskins coating having a higher strength than other coated braids it also has a thinner diameter meaning it is light, easy to cast, easy to sink properties. The braid is manufactured from genuine Dyneema, just like the tried and tested Tungskin.

Available in 20m spools in 15lb and 25lb breaking strains. You can further customise your line by choosing from the three colour options: weed green, gravel brown and silt black. These three colourways are designed to match every type of lake bed.
